Some line up!!! This is going to make Cambs look SILLY! As I was one of the (many!!) regulars (20+ years) who was refused admittance to CFF this year, due to ".. Your application was not in on time.." (RIGHT! It arrived TWO DAYS before the booking office opened!), so a load of us have decided to decamp to Shrewsbury instead. The acts so far are much much better than CFF and there's not so much of the "pop chart" to it. CFF has, sadly, gone that way. So ta-ta to Cambs and a B-I-I-I-I-G HELLO-O-O-O-O to Shrews. Look out for the optics parasol and H'Saar, my Anglesey Dragonette.....

This is awesome!!!!

Any chance of booking Genticorum to come over again? They were amazing last year and I would love to see them again.

Also, I think it would be nice if you got Vin and Rachel Unthank. Definitely highlights for me!!

Any chance of fiddle and singing workshops? Really enjoyed sessions with Meridian and Tom McConville and Witches of Eastwick in 2005. These were sadly lacking in 2006.

Looking forward to the festival anyway. My daughters love the ceilidhs. The atmosphere is always great. You've got a good line up so far.

Never been to the festival before, what happens on the Monday? Are there still acts on or is it all winding down?

Sorry Mike (anonymous) 22nd January.

I have only just spotted your comment entry.

There is a full programme on the Bank Holiday Monday, but concerts finish at about 5.30pm. This year our Monday artist line up includes:- Paul Brady, Crooked Still, Patrick Street, The wilsons, 422, Cockersdale and Keith Donnelly. No gentle wind up for us.
See you in August

........ all this and the nostalgic, lingering smell of barkchipings at midnight...... I thought I would just add a word of support for the hardworking stewards from last year. I wonder if they will have recovered in time for this? We will be there. = Martin and Margaret.
