Bellowhead finished their set just over 12 hours ago,and we'll soon be thinking about 2011.
But before we do that, we hope you had a fantastic festival and we'd like your comments and thoughts on the last four days.

that has replaced the old paper feedback form - there's lots of space for extended comments should you wish to leave any!

My third SFF and it hasn't let me down yet. And blog here - they really do read and act on your comments. Best acts for me: Kritina Olsen & Peter Grayling (my first time), Young 'uns, Genticorum, Lucy Ward, Belshazzar's Feast, the Kittiwakes' singing workshops, and the perennial favourites - Wilsons and Kimber's Men. Not a big fan of the 'Big' stuff but there's always plenty to see in the excellent Sabrina and BoxFresh marquees. Great beers too!
That's 'Kristina Olsen' of course (typo). Forgot to mention, one great advantage SFF has over many festivals is that you get to camp/park right in amongst the festival rather than on a seperate site. That's excellent for a community spirit, and really useful if you want to nip back to base for a freshen up, cuppa, (catch up on the Test score) or whatever.
My second festival - wonderful - but where were the lovely stickers with the celtic knot for your instrument cases? - please bring them back - pretty please.
This is our third year at the festival and yet again we hear of bad things happening to decent folks tents and belongings - shocking and truly sad. What we wanted to share with you all was that there is hope and there is goodness in our folk. Our daughter is autistic and rarely treasures anything as it is a concept lost on her, but for her camera. She lost her waterproof coat on the Friday night which had her camera and her pocket money - we considered it gone forever - who is honest enough not to take it all and be done? Folk festival folk it seems as with a heavy heart we came to check the lost property Saturday morning - there it was - all intact and correct.
We would sincerely like to thank those who found her coat and belongings. Thank you for being honest and kind, but importantly, thank you for restoring our faith in good 'old decent human beings.

My first ever SFF! and it didn't let me down..Had the time of my life! Particularly loved Genticorum, OK Brandy, Heidi Talbot + Boo Hewerdine, but the highlight was the incredible Michael McGoldrick along with his big band! I have never been so blown away! Camping was great and I felt the whole thing was organised so well.I really enjoyed the refolkus sessions and met some lovely like-minded people to keep in touch with..
However. I have one PLEA. If anyone knows who the boy who played the fiddle, had a long blonde pony tail and wore no shoes is..please..let me know?
Kristina was wonderful as always. Sadly mobile died so not able to access internet and blog. Wondered whether it would be possible to have a charging station at future festivals? Anne
Our 8th consecutive festival and the organisation gets better each year. We love the way all tastes are catered for and the choice and variety on offer. But for the first time, the sound levels in the main marquee seriously spoilt the experience in the Boxfresh marquee. It's an insult to the performers and audience and quite unnecessary.
Good point from Anne. now that there's pretty good wireless internet on the site there'll be lots more smart phones and laptops in use and running out of power.
My first sff and definitely not my last. I had a brilliant time. the music was awesome, the people were amazing and the vibe of the festival was just great.

There was the ability to charge mobile phones / laptops, provided you had brought a mains charger with you. It wasn't widely advertised, but was available - you only had to ask any of the campsite stewards. It would be impossible to provide such facilities for everyone, but it was available.
As regards sound crossover from the main stages, I personally thought it was much better this year, although the sound from the sabrina stage did seem to be a bit louder through most of the weekend than previous years.

We had two children with us and loved all the things put on just for them. The 422 music workshop was really good, and the lantern making was a great experience. They just loved making the props and costume for the last tree in the rainforest show - everything was so well organised that we'll be back next year
As always a fabulous festival. Fantastic to see Billy Bragg on top form as well as great sets from Kristina Olsen, Afro Celts, Lucy Kaplansky and many more. How about some other 'mainstream' folk acts such as Lisa Hannigan or Mary Chapin Carpenter.
And with such a strong tradition of hymn singing in this country how about a Sunday service. I'm sure that a lot of us christian folkies would appreciate and enjoy that.
So a huge thank you to all involved in the organisation and for making the festival get better and better.
My first ever SFF and definitely not my last. The excellent and venues, stewarding friendly and efficient and the toilets non offensive for the whole weekend! The Childrens festival was splendid, Circus Skills with Professor Panic (daddy nearly learned how to juggle) lanterns and costumes with Sunshine arts. Really good! We especially liked Pete White and his Suitcase Circus, what a skillful performer! He has a real gift for working the children into an absolute frenzy with his gentle humour. And Trevor Organ! His plate spinning act was priceless and the Dance Marquee spot on Saturday night before the djceilidh was just the right mix of silly visual humour for everyone and the slightest hint of "double entendre" to have the adults howling with laughter and the children looking completely mystified. As a family, we loved him. Thank you Shrewsbury!
I think it's a pity that most of the feedback this year is 'offline' as people (including me) are submitting it via the feedback form. I am sure it makes it easier for the organising team to gather all the answers, but it was good last year to read so many comments about what people liked and disliked.
For the record I loved Dervish, Calan, Chuck Brodsky, Richard Shindell, Bellowhead, Koshka and the fantastic Tuneworks sessions. For future ones I would love to see Christy Moore, The Unthanks, Vin Garbutt, Lau.

This is compiled as units sold. No.1 sold twice as many as No.10. The next 10 places were pretty equal.
Have already filled in the survey but have just seen Iain Morrison Band on Alba TV and think they would be a great addition, also Wolfstone and Shooglenifty. Think SFF is the best festival and always recommend it to people. With the thefts from tents that sadly have been happening this year, I like the way we can keep our cars next to to the tent so we can lock our valuables up. Am now getting withdrawal symptoms. Only three months till we start getting details of next years line up.
